"All the air defense squads had their
radar systems turned off in the hope to catch by surprise the incoming
enemy air squadrons. Suddenly the first wave of A10s was caught in the
trap: as soon as they passed by, radar systems were turned on and they
were easily shot down by radar guided Rapier missiles. The following
aircrafts were smart enough to head back aborting the mission. The enemy
learnt a hard lesson, but the next time it would not have been so easy."

Resources
about Modern Warfare |
In this page you'll
soon find a rich list of resources, available on the web or on paper,
specifically related to contemporary warfighting, which I came across
during the development of Strike or Die and studied to make
the game even better from the realism point of view.
They will be an important source of information both for new players
to discover the deadly fascinating modern battlefield and for expert
wargamers to dig deep into specific matters they'll be interested
in.
Obviously there'll be even useful resources for scenario and map
designers to allow them to recreate their favourite, historical
or not, battles with the editing tools of Strike or Die.
