"Ideas from creativity, technical
skills from experience and hard work from passion: these are the three
key components required to make high quality entertainment software. But...
"and the money?" someone could ask. Well, the money is the invisible
glue keeping together that C-like expression and it only comes from satisfied
customers.
That's how things work in this crazy, yet so fascinating, little wired
world!"

Here are the tangible results of my
hard work to produce high quality entertainment software.
They say work made with passion comes out better and they may be
right, but the truth is that passion is only one of the components,
as I tried to explain in the quote above.
However it doesn't matter how much I think my software is good,
because in the end the only judge of my work will be you.
Euro
Coins Pocket Collector: first released on 16th July
2003 |
My first software for the Pocket
PC platform puts in the palm of your hand a powerful and
friendly graphical tool to manage and review your collection
of Euro coins, as well as giving you accurately researched
information about the coins common and national sides, coin
variants, edge types and Mint marks.
Whether you're an expert or beginner collector you'll find
EcPc to be an invaluable aid to your most precious
hobby.
Also, thanks to the compact collection file format, EcPc
gives Euro coin collectors a new and efficient way to share
swap lists with friends from all around the world.

Light
Up Only Your Dreams: announced on 10th January 2005 |
The name says it all: should
you have the need to light up something, be it your dreams
and ideas, not a deadly cigarette!
So I did and decided to make an educational software about
smoke to help understand the dangerousness of this affection
by using the latest technologies, in particular mobile devices
since the software will be multiplatform from its first
release.
This captivating title actually comes from a TV spot related
to an Italian
national communication campaign against smoke.
I grayscaled the captured original image since I'm going to
use this peculiar style throughout the whole software, although
I'm still discussing about its graphics appearance with my
friend artist who offered me his help for this project. You
may notice a little color detail however.
The current design sees the software divided into two main
section, a non-interactive educational one which explains
the risks of both active and passive smoke through
the use of text and related impact photos, and an interactive
one which should allow the smoker to perform some quick tests
to evaluate the grade of his affection to smoke and possibly
an additional custom profile based section in which the user
could keep track of his progresses to quit smoke.
The price for this? Free, not because I'm generous,
but because I value my health as much as anyone should do.

Strike
or Die: development temporarily suspended |
Strike or Die is my ambitious
project for a realistic wargame about combined arms modern
warfare for the Windows desktop PC platform.
I'm seriously working on it since April 2001 and it evolved
from a light wargame into a deep and accurate simulation of
modern warfare. A very difficult job, especially for an independent
developer, but I love good wargames and the community playing
them.
The development of SoD went on with great satisfactions,
although at a somewhat slow pace due to my limited resources.
So, when I discovered the Pocket PC platform I decided
to temporarily move it to a "safe" parallel development
lane while I'll be working primarily on software projects
for that mobile platform with a much smaller development time,
hoping to build a good reputation about myself as a developer
and at the same time to finance the bigger SoD project.
Its development will be resumed at full speed, full strength
and full time once I'll be able to get the human and financial
resources to bring this groundbreaking wargame to completion
as it deserves.
So, if you're a wargamer now you've got another good reason
to support my Pocket PC projects.
Click on the nice logo below, made by Pier Tommaso Bennati,
an Italian graphics artist, or on the link above to go to
the website entirely dedicated to Strike or Die I built
much more time before this one.

As I wrote in my
WebLog on 13th October 2004
I plan to resume the project as soon as possible, but now
you have to chance to contribute directly through the PayPal
donation system to increase the probability of actually seeing
Strike or Die completed and published.
If you think this project might be worth your hard earned
money, click on the button below and donate.
As I've written on the logo... The choice is only yours.
Be it a good choice!
